The service
These terms govern use of the datezero browser-based game and event platform. Customers can browse game packs, try public samples, create an optional account, buy access when checkout is enabled, and play packs granted to their library. datezero also provides hosts with event setup, attendee entry, live group rotations, guided journeys, and event controls.
datezero provides the software experience. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, the host is the event organizer and is responsible for the physical event, venue, admissions, staff, safety, accessibility, and compliance with local law.
Accepting these terms
A customer or host accepts these terms by signing in or using the relevant service. A customer making a purchase must separately accept the exact version shown at checkout. An attendee accepts these terms by joining an event through a datezero link or QR code. If you do not agree, do not use the service. A separate signed order, pilot agreement, or data-processing agreement takes priority if it conflicts with these terms.
Accounts and acceptable use
Customers and hosts must provide accurate account information, keep their sign-in account secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to hello@datezero.io.
You must not harass or impersonate another person, bypass a host’s intended admissions, probe or disrupt the service, access another user’s account or event, upload malware, use the service unlawfully, or copy or resell the service except under a written datezero agreement.
Events and attendee use
Hosts must run lawful events, provide required attendee notices, set an accurate capacity, protect event links and host controls, provide appropriate supervision and a fallback plan, and avoid unnecessary personal data in event fields. Attendees must use an event-appropriate display name, respect other participants and host rules, and not interfere with the service or another person’s session.
Packs, prices, and access
When checkout is enabled, the order review identifies the Pack, its reviewed version at purchase, the total price, currency, payment obligation, and payment provider. Payment-card details are entered with that provider and are not stored by datezero.
A completed purchase grants the customer a personal, non-transferable license to play the Pack identified at checkout. The checkout-time release is retained as immutable evidence of the version at purchase. Normal play follows the Pack’s current operator-reviewed version, so reviewed card additions, edits, or removals may automatically change the playable content. Earlier purchases remain governed by the terms accepted for those orders. A purchase does not transfer ownership of the content or permit resale. Access may be proportionately suspended or revoked for a lawful safety reason or non-payment.
Immediate digital delivery and withdrawal
Before immediate delivery of paid digital content, the customer must explicitly request delivery during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that the right to withdraw is lost once access begins. The exact notice version and fingerprint are shown and recorded at checkout. The separate digital-content withdrawal notice forms part of these terms.
Availability, suspension, and safety
Internet, device, and third-party provider failures can occur. Hosts must test their setup and maintain a practical fallback. We may perform urgent maintenance or proportionately limit access to address security, unlawful use, material breach, non-payment, or risk to users. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
Data and privacy
The privacy notice explains how the service uses data. Hosts remain responsible for event content and for a lawful basis to collect attendee information. datezero may process information to deliver and protect the service and meet legal obligations. We do not sell event data or use it for advertising.
Responsibility and liability
Each party remains responsible for losses caused by its own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct. datezero is not responsible for the physical event, venue, host decisions, attendee conduct, or services outside datezero’s control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law, changes, and contact
These terms are governed by Finnish law without limiting mandatory consumer rights. Courts in Helsinki have jurisdiction unless mandatory law or a signed agreement requires another forum. Material changes apply prospectively and are identified by a new version and effective date. Questions can be sent to hello@datezero.io.
