The first hello can feel like a big deal. Here’s a little of what to expect.
Find an evening for youSo, what actually happens at a datezero event?
You meet people in small groups over conversation games. A shared prompt gives you something to talk about, and the groups change between rounds so you get to meet more people. There's a little structure to help things along, with plenty of room for the conversation to go somewhere unexpected.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. You don't need a friend beside you or a brilliant opening line ready to go. The group format gives you people to talk with and something to start from. It's fine to feel a little nervous. You can still have a lovely conversation.
How do I know if an event is for me?
Each listing tells you who the evening is for, including its age range and dating audience. Have a look before you make plans and choose one that feels right for you. If you're unsure about anything, you're welcome to get in touch.
Do I need to download an app or make an account?
No app to download, and no attendee account to create. Just open the event link or scan a QR code on your phone, and you're ready to join the conversation game in your browser.
What if I'd like to see someone again?
Every datezero event includes private matching. You can choose to like people you'd like to see again, and your likes stay private. If you both like each other, your phone numbers are shared by text after the event ends. You'll see how it works and be asked for consent before your first like. Taking part is always up to you.
Do I have to share anything personal?
You decide how much you want to share in a conversation. An answer can be light, thoughtful or a little silly. You don't owe anyone your life story. If you need a breather or something feels uncomfortable, speak with the host.
Where are the events, and do I need a ticket?
Our current events are in Helsinki. Each listing has the venue, time and entry details, including whether the evening is free entry, needs a reservation or has tickets. Follow the details for the event you choose, and we'll see you there.
